FindTalent is partnering with a leading energy infrastructure contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager specializing in substations and electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle of medium-scale substation projects, ensuring successful execution from initial bid through completion. This position demands strong leadership, a focus on safety, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge, organizational excellence, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple substation and electrical infrastructure projects, typically valued at $5M or less.

• Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and profitable completion.

• Oversee project safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Coordinate project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.

• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules and budgets as needed.

• Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and forecasts to stakeholders.

• Participate in the bidding and proposal process, providing project insights and cost estimates.

• Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements.

• Conduct site visits to assess work progress and resolve project-related issues.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing lessons learned and best practices.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proven track record of managing substation, switchyard, or BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) construction projects.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and construction industry standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with project management software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams and client relations.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

• Ability to travel as needed for project site visits and client meetings.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project management within the energy or construction sectors.

• Equivalent combination of education and practical experience will be considered.
