Description:

FindTalent is seeking an experienced Lead Estimator – Industrial Electrical to support the pursuit and delivery of complex utility and industrial electrical projects. This role is responsible for leading the estimating process from initial review through bid submission, ensuring accurate pricing, sound execution strategies, and alignment with customer requirements.

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical construction knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate across estimating, project management, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor estimating staff on electrical utility and industrial projects
• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, bids, and proposals
• Perform quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and risk evaluations
• Develop schedules, forecasts, and execution assumptions during preconstruction
• Conduct site visits to assess scope, conditions, and constructability
• Coordinate with project management and operations to align estimates with execution plans
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Support client interactions during bidding and pre-award phases
• Ensure estimates comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications

Key Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in electrical construction or estimating
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience within estimating teams
• Strong background in utility or industrial electrical projects
• Experience with contract review and negotiation support
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., AccuBid Anywhere) and MS Office
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, installation methods, and specifications
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience in the electrical trade
• Prior responsibility for estimating mid- to large-scale electrical projects
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, and related industry standards
• Ability to interpret and optimize electrical drawings and layouts
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
