An established electrical construction organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical construction projects within the data center and mission-critical sector. This role will provide senior-level leadership across project execution, financial performance, client relationships, scheduling, and project teams from preconstruction through completion.
The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in driving project success while developing client relationships, mentoring project teams, and supporting the continued growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for major electrical construction projects.
- Oversee project planning, execution, scheduling, budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, project staff, and field leadership.
- Manage client relationships and serve as a senior point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and construction requirements.
- Oversee change orders, forecasting, cost control, project documentation, and financial reporting.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, budget, and contractual objectives.
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to resolve complex construction and project execution issues.
- Drive accountability across project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support business development initiatives and strengthen relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Contribute to project strategy, process improvement, and the continued growth of the electrical construction organization.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Proven experience leading $20M+ electrical construction projects.
- Strong background in data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or other complex commercial construction.
- Experience with ground-up construction and large-scale MEP/electrical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Journeyman or Master Electrical License preferred.
- Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, scheduling, change management, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, P6, MS Project, BIM 360, Accubid, or similar construction platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and client management skills.
- Ability to lead multiple project teams and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Willingness to travel as project requirements dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and motor vehicle checks.
