FindTalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support one of our premier clients in the construction industry. This position offers the opportunity to work with a renowned organization known for supporting significant infrastructure projects in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for developing thorough and accurate project cost estimates by conducting detailed take-offs, analyzing proposals, quotes, and requirements. Your work will ensure that customer expectations and business goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer and project scope, plans, and specifications to create labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with customer requirements and business ROI.
  • Coordinate with external third parties and subcontractors on project bids, estimates, and timelines.
  • Manage the creation of accurate and organized estimate proposals, including Stipulated Price, Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management models.
  • Discuss proposal details with potential customers to ensure project objectives are met before final approval.
  • Provide comprehensive project proposal details, including processes and subcontractor information, to the Project Management team for execution.
  • Facilitate accurate budgets from conceptual and schematic design phases to final estimates, ensuring alignment with customer goals and business ROI.
  • Manage ongoing project and cost changes, unit pricing, and job tracking, maintaining databases and project updates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, field personnel, and customers for current and future project success.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in substation and industrial electrical work.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction, industrial, or utility sectors, or equivalent roles such as field operative, project manager, or engineer.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and estimating software; experience with Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Job, Primavera, and MS Project is a plus.
  • Exceptional skills in data/cost analysis, proposal development, and interpreting technical documentation related to electrical work and construction specifications.
  • Ability to review, edit, and create contracts, procedures, and detailed proposals.
  • Firm understanding of Union agreements and strong knowledge of the regional network within industrial sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present proposals professionally and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong customer and team focus, adaptable to change, and proactive in supporting cross-departmental initiatives.
