The Electrical Superintendent will lead field operations on large-scale electrical construction projects within the data center and mission-critical sector. This role will oversee electrical installation, field supervision, safety, quality, scheduling, productivity, and overall site execution while working closely with the project management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical installation activities from project start through completion.
- Manage field personnel, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and daily site operations.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and budget requirements.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and installation requirements.
- Coordinate labor planning, manpower allocation, material requirements, equipment, and project priorities.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, installation quality, and compliance with project standards.
- Mentor and develop foremen, supervisors, and electrical tradespeople.
- Support change orders through takeoffs, pricing, field assessments, and documentation.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve construction issues to maintain project progress and schedule.
- Work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain a strong focus on site safety, quality control, productivity, and efficient field operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current Journeyman Electrical License, 4-year engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of electrical construction and field supervision experience.
- Experience with data centers, industrial, pharmaceutical, or other highly technical construction projects.
- Hyperscale data center experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing or supervising electrical projects valued at approximately $20M–$100M preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
- Strong understanding of labor scheduling, manpower planning, cost control, productivity, and field operations.
- Ability to perform electrical takeoffs and support change-order pricing.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, installation methods, and construction sequencing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and motor vehicle checks.
