Senior Electrical Estimator – Remote Opportunity

FindTalent is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a leading organization in the construction industry. As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will lead the analysis of large and multi-project proposals, quotes, and requirements. Your role is to ensure the development of thorough and accurate project cost estimates that meet customer expectations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the review and creation of equipment, labor, material, and subcontractor estimates for large or multi-project proposals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business ROI.
  • Manage the coordination of the bidding process, working with various Project Management teams and business units to address all aspects of the projects and maintain accuracy.
  • Create and manage the development of organized estimate proposals, including Stipulated Price, Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management models to ensure thoroughness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with potential customers to discuss proposal options and ensure all project objectives are met before sending final approval.
  • Provide comprehensive project proposal, process details, and subcontractor information to the Project Management team for efficient execution.
  • Oversee and manage the development of accurate budgets from conceptual and schematic design phases through final estimates, ensuring consistency with company goals and strategies.
  • Mentor and guide teams through obstacles, option changes, and concerns, providing documentation and updates to ensure continuous project success.
  • Manage ongoing project and cost changes, unit pricing, and job tracking to keep projects aligned with current or updated proposals.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with subcontractors, internal teams, field personnel, and customers for continued project success.
  • Develop and review standardized processes for estimating across various business units to ensure best practices and effective project outcomes.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in electrical construction.
  • 15+ years of experience in Electrical Estimating and Project Management within an industrial electrical contractor organization.
  • Strong skills in data/cost analysis, proposal formulation, and interpreting technical documentation related to civil design, constructability, government contracts, and construction terminology.
  • Ability to review, edit, and create contracts, procedures, and detailed proposals, with a firm understanding of Union agreements and regional industry networks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and industry-specific estimating software; experience with Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Job, Primavera, and MS Project is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
  • Leadership skills with experience in mentoring, leading, and influencing teams to achieve project goals.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
