FindTalent is seeking a Substation Project Manager on behalf of our client, a leading company in the Transmission & Distribution industry. This role is crucial in managing, directing, and coordinating all aspects of work related to electrical substation engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a client-focused mindset, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, focusing on repeat business and expanding service offerings.

• Manage all aspects of substation projects, including siting, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction management, and closeout.

• Oversee project scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality and compliance.

• Own project financials, including detailed cost forecasts, staffing/resource planning, risk management, and change management.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth coordination and project success.

• Establish project policies, procedures, and controls to ensure successful execution.

• Work closely with the project team to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and company quality standards.

• Provide regular progress reports, addressing cost, schedule, procurement, safety, environmental concerns, and design issues.

• Travel to client and project locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in the Transmission & Distribution industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply innovative solutions to complex challenges.

• Experience in producing engineering design and construction documents.

• Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client communications.

• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
